Tuberculosis prevalent in Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani people.. why?

is this? Sensible answers only please. I was just reading an article on Yahoo news about the rise in TB in Britain amongst these groups of people but it was put down to people migrating to the UK from poor areas of Asia. I don't really buy this as other countries are equally as poor with TB not being so widespread there.
