Gran Turismo Help... My car suddenly is awful at turning?!?

In GT5, my racing mod-ed Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09 suddenly wasn't able to do the corners of Indy at 280km/ph like I used to. Why? Now I can barely do those corners at 240!
