Can't decide what road to take for my career path?

I am currently in the DEP for the Marine Corps but I don't know if that's the right path for me(my mos is aviation mechanics). I think I would rather go to college and major in mechanical engineering and maybe minor in electrical engineering, but I don't know what my career options would be after I graduate. I want a job that pays well and I would enjoy going to work everyday. What careers options do mechanical engineers have? Do you think it would be smarter to go into the marine corp for 6yrs then get out and go to college for mechanical engineer?
